What can I say about this series? I can say that it's amazingly written with the most endearing plotline. I can say that it's everyone's childhood, that I'm still waiting for my Hogwarts letter despite all my years. But what I will say about this book is that it's a memory, a cherished one at that. It isn't a series that I can forget about after finishing it. It's words are buried in the nooks and corners of my brain. It's a melody, a song.
Harry Potter is a series I can read again and again and again, and I won't be tired after a thousand years of doing the same. Now, that's addiction.

My review

This book is written amazingly. Although I do feel that the side characters could have been covered more in depth and have better character development, the storyline covered up for it. If I'm being completely honest, I couldn't keep the books down at all, to the point where I was missing out on sleep. I love that the villain has a backstory, and doesn't just immediately turn into a bad person and then in his last moments starts crying about how he regrets everything he did, unlike other books I've read. Voldemort stays committed to his goal, however bad it is, till the very end. Which I personally, admire alot.
